Aedes mosquito lifecycle 

Under Optimal conditions, an Aedes mosquito can develop from an egg to an adult mosquito in a week. 

Did you know? 
- The female adult mosquito bites, as it needs the protein in blood for its eggs to develop 

- The mosquito can lay eggs about three times in its lifetime, and about 100 eggs are produced each time. 

- Its peak biting period is at dawn and dusk.
