The school incorporates environmental issues into the curriculum and seizes everyday opportunities to get children interested in nature and to care for the environment.

Every Wednesday, Earth Day is carried out at PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Pasir Ris West Blk 517. Under this initiative, a collaboration with NParks and the Resident Committee (RC), the children took part in composting and growing edible plants for sustainability living at the community garden. The children are taught to observe the growth of plants, understand the importance of repotting the plants, provided the opportunity to bring the crops home to continue caring for them.

Another collaboration titled Make Me New Again, is carried out with Park View Primary School to repurpose plastic wrappers into usable items. After collecting plastic wrappers from food items, children clean the wrappers and create pencil cases, bags and iPad covers.

Through these experiences, children learnt that biodegradable disposable plates and cutlery are not truly eco-friendly because they end up in a landfill which will still release greenhouse gases. Hence, they have switched to using reusable containers and utensils instead.
