World Café Dialogue on Reduce and Reuse

As part of the Say YES to Waste Less campaign, the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) and the National Environment Agency (NEA) will be conducting World Café Dialogues on Reduce and Reuse on 29 August and 5 September 2026. These sessions will bring together members of the public, businesses, and non-governmental organisations to discuss practical ways to reduce waste and reuse items in everyday life. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their views on how various stakeholders can work together to make reduce and reuse practices more widely adopted in Singapore. Feedback and ideas gathered from the dialogues will contribute to ongoing efforts to shape future policies and initiatives on waste reduction and reuse. Walk with Caritas Family by Caritas Singapore

Walk with Caritas Family returns for its third year, bringing people of all ages together for an easy 4km walk in support of communities in need. Participants can choose the cause closest to their hearts, with their registration fee going directly to one of 14 participating charities. Join us for a morning of purpose, followed by a lively carnival featuring a sustainability fair (NEA will be there too!), exciting booths, live music and performances, food and activities for all ages. Join Tzu Chi every 3rd Sunday for Tzu Chi’s Environmental Sustainability Day at over 30 eco-points islandwide!

Eco Points by Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore).
Every third Sunday of the month is Tzu-Chi Environmental Sustainability Day. Across more than 30 neighbourhoods island-wide, Tzu-Chi has partnered with various Residents' Committees to transform void decks, communal pavilions, and other communal spaces into 39 eco points. Residents living nearby are invited to bring their recyclable items for sorting and recycling. In addition to hands-on sorting, Tzu-Chi volunteers also share knowledge about environmental protection in a warm and friendly atmosphere. After sorting the recyclables by material, everyone works together to clean up and restore each venue to its original state.

Dragon Pasar by Toa Payoh East Zone 6 Residents’ Network

Every month, volunteers from the Zone 6 Residents' Network head to Little India, where five local shops set aside surplus fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. Back in the neighbourhood, these fresh picks are carefully repacked and stocked into 24-hour chillers at the RN centre — ready for residents to collect whenever they need them, day or night. This is 'Dragon Pasar' in action: a simple but powerful idea that has kept tonnes of good food off the waste pile and put it where it belongs — in the homes and hearts of the community. Christmas Together 2026 by Peace of Art SG

Building on past editions of the Sustainable Christmas Market, Christmas Together is an annual event which brings together conscious brands, sustainable shopping, and charitable giving. The event features workshops, food, performances, and family experiences, with proceeds going towards the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts programme. This year's edition will be held at Marina Bay Sands from 26 to 29 November.

Sustainability Initiatives by CapitaLand

CapitaLand contributes to the environmental and social well-being of its communities through an integrated approach to sustainability. At CapitaLand Investment (CLI), this is guided by clear targets, including achieving Net Zero for Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and a 25% recycling rate by 2030.

Central to these efforts is a continued focus on waste management and circularity across its portfolio. In 2025, CLI’s properties recycled over 20,000 tonnes of waste, including 75 tonnes of e-waste, building on initiatives in place since 2014. Complementing these efforts is the CapitaLand Sustainability X Challenge (CSXC), a global platform advancing innovation, with 30 solutions piloted or planned across 45 sites in seven countries to support resource-efficient, climate-resilient buildings.

Across its properties, these efforts translate into everyday touchpoints that engage tenants, shoppers and the community. At Raffles City Singapore, the Green Corner features interactive displays, recycling bins, e-waste collection points and a bag-sharing station, with refreshed content supporting sustainability campaigns and partner activations. Similarly, Sustainability Corners installed across 30 CapitaLand Ascendas REIT properties in Singapore raise awareness and encourage responsible consumption by enabling tenants and the public to reuse and reduce, giving unused items a second life.

These initiatives are further strengthened through partnerships. As a longstanding partner of the Public Hygiene Council, including its Corporate Action Network and SG Clean Day initiative, CLI has expanded its collaboration across 16 malls and workspace properties to deliver targeted campaigns promoting responsible waste disposal and public cleanliness.

Used Red Packet Recycling Initiative

 Since 2021, Geneco holds its Used Red Packet Recycling Initiative, as part of its annual Chinese New Year campaign, encouraging the community to give used and excess red packets a second lease of life through recycling.

From 410kg of red packets collected and recycled to 6,840kg in 2026, this successful initiative is not only contributed by the eco-conscious members of public, but also attributed by the organisations who participated by providing their locations for the recycling bins.

From just 28 recycling bins in 2021 to over 270 island-wide, the largest scale yet this year, the wider accessibility of collection points has made it easier for the public to participate, supporting sustainability efforts.

Through its dedicated commitment to #PowerTheChange, Geneco hopes to inspire more people to keep traditions alive, while contributing towards the nation’s green vision.

Race to Sustainability!

Come down to Gardens by the Bay to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Race to Sustainability!, a Clean & Green Singapore satellite event!

 Together with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Housing Development Board (HDB), National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore Food Authority (SFA), and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), learn how you can take small steps in saving the Earth from climate change and its effects.

 For Primary and Secondary Schools:

  • Sign your students up for a post-examination scavenger hunt to learn about environmental sustainability. Students team up to tackle challenges and learn how conservation, plant diversity and sustainability shape our future.
